Enhancing Your Photographs

Whether you take snapshots of your child’s birthday party, or images of gorgeous sunsets, photo-editing programs can make all your photos pop with color and detail.

An essential, for me, is Photoshop CC, it’s available as a subscription for $9.95 a month.  For that price you get Photoshop, Lightroom, and Camera Raw. (Camera Raw is also compatible with jpg files)

I once had someone send some images that were terribly under exposed. They were so dark; I didn’t know what I was looking at. The software corrected the exposure, and the images were saved.  So, if you take some indoor shots, and the flash didn’t fire, that’s OK. You can fix it.

But there are many more photo-editing programs on the market

Two programs I love are Topaz Labs, and On1 Photo 2017.
But they are both pricey.

All of the photo-editing programs will work with any camera, whether a point and shoot, or a $5,000 DSLR.

Some have a high learning curve, but YouTube videos are a wonderful asset for learning anything.

I hope you found this information useful.
